Privacy policy

Tussock Ridge is operated by Tourism Innovation Group (“we”, “us”, “our”). We’re opening in 2027. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tussockridge.nz while we get ready to open, including when you join our mailing list or buy a gift voucher, and how we look after it. We follow the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join our mailing list
- Your name, contact details and payment details, when you buy a gift voucher
- Anything you tell us when you email us
- Basic website information, such as your browser, device, approximate location and the pages you visit
Gift vouchers are sold through our booking provider, FareHarbor. We never see or store your full card details.
How we use it
- To send you opening news and updates, if you’ve signed up for them
- To issue and manage your gift voucher, and help you use it once we open
- To reply to your questions
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it
- To protect our forms from spam
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records
Our mailing list
When you sign up, we’ll send you an email asking you to confirm. You’re only added once you do. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, so you can leave whenever you like.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run Tussock Ridge:
- FareHarbor, which handles our gift vouchers and payments
- Mailchimp, which sends our emails
- Google, which provides our email and website analytics
- Kinsta, which hosts our website
- Cloudflare, which protects our website and forms from spam
We may also share information when the law requires us to.
Storing information overseas
Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work and to block spam. Others help us understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may not work as they should.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address on our mailing list until you unsubscribe. Gift voucher and payment records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Other information is kept only as long as we need it.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and our website uses encryption. If a privacy breach could cause you serious harm, we’ll let you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner know as soon as we can.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. Just email us and we’ll reply within 20 working days.
